At OneMarysville, we know that strong communities are full of people who care. Each week, we feature a resident who has given their time and talents to make Marysville the best community in Kansas.
Today, we’re nuts about Patty Holle because when Patty says she’ll take care of something, people know she will.

As owner of Marshall County Abstract & Title Company and treasurer of the Kansas Land & Title Association, she works in a field where details matter and follow-through is expected. People rely on her to get it right.
That same approach shows up everywhere else she’s involved.
At Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church, she serves as financial secretary and co-directs the choir. She helps with Special Saints, a service for clients from Twin Valley. She takes part in highway cleanup, and she prepares food for funeral meals.
Her community involvement follows the same pattern. She serves on the Marysville Community Foundation board and the Marshall County Community Choir board, where she also sings. She is a strong supporter of the Marshall County Arts Cooperative and also provides food for MCAC events. She has served on the Chamber board, including as president, and continues her involvement through the Legion Auxiliary.
Patty also attends events around town — showing up is part of supporting a community.
Let’s hear from Patty about why she continues to give back to Marysville:
How long have you lived in Marysville? What is your favorite thing about living here?
I am a lifelong resident, born and raised here. I did go away for college, and then lived and worked in Topeka for awhile just to experience a bigger place. It was not for me — I like a small town. And what a wonderful place to raise a family. I like everything about Marysville!
Tell us about one of your favorite ways to volunteer.
One of my favorite ways to volunteer is through my church for a group called Special Saints. We do a service once per month for people who come over from Twin Valley [Developmental Services]. It’s great to interact with them, it’s a lot of fun. I also really enjoy volunteering with Marshall County Arts Cooperative, making food for events or doing whatever is needed.
What would you tell someone who wants to get more involved as a volunteer?
Depending on their interests, volunteering for any of the big events in town can be really fun. I enjoy volunteering for the Gravel Dash; they always need people, no matter what you are able to do. The OneMarysville office is always a good contact to get people pointed in the right direction.
Which of Marysville’s Black Squirrels on Parade is your favorite?
