Squirrels Just Wanna Have Fun
Friday, August 8 | 4–11 p.m. | Downtown Marysville
OneMarysville’s ninth annual Squirrels Just Wanna Have Fun is back, and this year we’re Wigging Out! Grab your girlfriends, throw on your most outrageous wig (or come as you are) and enjoy an unforgettable evening of downtown shopping, food, music and fun.
What to Expect:
Check-in takes place from 4 to 6:30 p.m. at the Koester House Museum and Gardens (919 Broadway). After receiving your wristband and event materials, you’ll be free to explore downtown Marysville and visit participating businesses offering drinks, snacks, store specials and fun experiences just for you.
Shopping and activities continue until 8:30 p.m., with an after-party near Spellmeier Automotive featuring food trucks, beverages, seating and a live DJ from Black Squirrel Entertainment to close out the night in style.

Join us at Sarge’s Sports Bar (718 Broadway, Marysville) for an evening made for the guys—fun, music and drinks.

You’ll catch Jake Kloefkorn, a rising country‑rock singer/songwriter from Lincoln, Nebraska. Two years after picking up his first guitar, Jake began performing solo—blending powerful, heartfelt lyrics with a mix of original songs and well‑chosen covers JK Country Music+11JK Country Music+11Instagram+11Bandsintown.
Once a climbing arborist—and former student of fisheries biology—Jake took a leap in December 2022 to go full‑time into music, carrying inspiration from his Nebraska roots and his grandfather, former state poet William Kloefkorn JK Country Music+1.
His songs capture the authentic midwestern spirit and real‑life storytelling. Come ready to sing along—or just soak in the vibe with a cold one in hand.

The Pony Express 120 Gravel Dash isn’t just a race—it’s an adventure. Choose your challenge: 120, 65, or 35 miles of gritty, scenic gravel roads through the heart of Pony Express country. As part of the Great Plains Gravel Cup race series, this event brings together riders from all over to test their endurance, skill, and love of the ride.
Not racing? Come cheer on the riders! Feel the energy as cyclists roll into downtown Marysville, crossing the finish line in the shadow of history. Enjoy the vibrant atmosphere, local charm, and the thrill of the race.
