A Big Marysville Christmas Saturday is your invitation to spend the whole day in town soaking up Christmas in Black Squirrel City. From breakfast at the Lincoln Center to an afternoon of baking and games at the Helvering Center, December 13 is packed with holiday fun.
Start the day with Breakfast with Santa from 8 a.m. until 10 a.m. at the Lincoln Center, 405 N. 4th Street. Enjoy pancakes, eggs, sausage, juice, milk, and coffee, then visit with Santa. The meal is offered for a freewill donation. Breakfast with Santa is sponsored by the Pony Express Partnership for Children.
At 10:30 a.m., there is a free showing of “Zootopia II” at Astro 3 Theatre, 820 Center Street. In the animated sequel, rookie officer Judy Hopps and her partner, Nick Wilde, take on a brand-new case that threatens the harmony of Zootopia, sending them on a fast-paced adventure filled with new characters, unexpected twists, and plenty of heart. The movie is rated PG.
The fun continues from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. at the Helvering Center, 111 South 8th Street, with Baking with Mrs. Claus & Reindeer Games.
Kids of all ages can decorate homemade sugar cookies with Mrs. Claus and her elves, who will be close by to help with frosting and sprinkles.
The “reindeer games” are being created and run by Marysville High School’s KAY Club and FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America), giving younger children a chance to play while local teens lead the way in all the fun.
Attendees can also make ornaments, visit with Santa and pose for photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus during this come-and-go afternoon event.
