Alex Laughlin’s January exhibition, “Cosmos and Soul,” is on display at the Lee Dam Center for Fine Art, featuring work shaped by his spiritual perspective and his belief that art can help people rethink the stories they carry about themselves. A Valley Heights High School graduate and former artistic leadership liaison for the Marshall County Arts Cooperative, Laughlin connects his work to a personal turning point in college when he began creating what he calls “Soul Portraits,” using painting as a tool for reflection, growth and reconnecting with who he is.
The public is invited to stop in to view the exhibition and spend time with the work up close. The exhibit remains on display throughout January.
