You’re invited to join us for a beautiful morning as Dr. Traci Brimhall, a poet laureate of Kansas, debuts an original poem honoring the marriage of Charles and Sylvia Koester. The Koester House Museum is celebrating the 150th wedding anniversary of Charles and Sylvia this year.

Dr. Traci Brimhall is a university distinguished professor of creative writing at Kansas State University and the 2025 Poet-in-Residence at the Guggenheim. She is the author of five poetry collections, and her nonfiction debut, The Grief Artist, is forthcoming from Sarabande Books in 2026.
