Cards from the Heart, Words from the Soul

You’re invited to join us for a beautiful morning as Dr. Traci Brimhall, a poet laureate of Kansas, debuts an original poem honoring the marriage of Charles and Sylvia Koester. The Koester House Museum is celebrating the 150th wedding anniversary of Charles and Sylvia this year.

Discover the secret language of Victorian flowers, and partake in a card-making workshop to celebrate your loved ones.

This event is free and open to the public.

Dr. Traci Brimhall is a university distinguished professor of creative writing at Kansas State University and the 2025 Poet-in-Residence at the Guggenheim. She is the author of five poetry collections, and her nonfiction debut, The Grief Artist, is forthcoming from Sarabande Books in 2026.
