Be part of history during the annual Pony Express Re-Ride. Visit the Pony Express Barn and Museum on Tuesday, June 16, to witness a reenactment of the mail exchange at the only Pony Express home station still standing in its original location.
A free-will donation breakfast will be served from 7–10 a.m., with the rider arriving at approximately 9:15 a.m.
Every June, the members of the National Pony Express Association take part in the annual Commemorative Re-Ride, retracing the historic Pony Express route over the course of 10 days. Riders carry mail in a traditional mochila along the original trail, covering 1,966 miles across eight states. The event runs continuously, day and night, until the mail reaches its final destination. This unique national tradition gives people of all ages the chance to experience the Pony Express Trail and send mail by Pony Express.
More than 750 riders participate each year, delivering approximately 1,000 letters. Participants come from many different backgrounds, but all share membership in the NPEA and a passion for preserving this historic legacy. We welcome you to become part of this memorable experience!
