Marysville’s favorite fall tradition is back! From old-fashioned games to live music, food trucks, costumes and fire performers, Black Squirrel Fall Fest is a full day of community fun in celebration of our town’s famed black squirrels.
3–5 p.m. | Games & Kids’ Activities
The afternoon kicks off with Big Wheels on Broadway and Parents as Teachers activity stations for kids. Old-fashioned games return, including pumpkin smashing, a cake walk, bingo, ring toss, balloon pop, candy corn guessing, tic-tac-toe with pumpkins and more fall favorites. Face painters and other vendors add to the fun.
At the same time, the stage comes alive: Footloose Dancers perform at 3 p.m., followed by the Platinum Dancers at 4 p.m.
5 p.m. | Donut-Eating Contest
Cheer on contestants in the always-popular donut-eating contest! There will be categories for different ages.
5–7 p.m. | Live Music at Pony Park
The Better Than Roadkill Band brings high-energy music to the Pony Park, setting the tone for a lively evening downtown. They are a six-piece country, blues & rock cover band. With their quick-paced set list, they will keep the momentum going!
5:45–7 p.m. | Treats on Broadway
Local businesses and organizations line Broadway to hand out candy and goodies for kids. Not every treat will be candy—look for some surprises!
6–8 p.m. | Fire Pits with S’mores
Gather around the fire pits with friends and family to roast marshmallows and make s’mores.
7–8 p.m. | Costume Contest
Kids, adults and families step into the spotlight in front of United Bank & Trust for the town’s annual costume contest. Prizes are awarded for creativity and fun—so bring your best!
8 p.m. | Bulldog Band
The Bulldog Band keeps the energy going as the night builds toward a dramatic finale.
8:15 p.m. | Fire Performers at Pony Park
The festival closes with fire performers lighting up Pony Park—a dazzling way to wrap up a day filled with community spirit.
Food Trucks & Sweet Treats All Day
Broadway between 6th and 7th will be lined with options for every appetite. Off My Rocker, Mama Ging’s House of Lumpia and Zo’s Soul Food Mississippi Burning headline the food lineup, along with the Trail Life group. Sweet tooth? Enjoy King’s Cotton Candy and It’s a Sweet Treat Day Bakery.
